Engravings of the new year in China
For centuries, Chinese artists excelled in the materialization of their tradition and folklore with, among other woodcuts in the festivities of New Year Each region with its own characteristics, the China Post honors every year (for the 2nd or 3rd issue of the year) a series that reproduces the engraving of one of the many parts of the country Liangping who was honored in 2010.
In 2011, for the 2nd issue of the year (the first was dedicated to Chinese New Year ), China Post has issued a sé 10/01/2011 series of 4 timp res woodcuts illustrating the region of Fengxiang.

The woodcuts in the region Fengxiang were originally created during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), workshops burning, printing, and selling prints at the New Year In 1950 there were over 690 varieties of wood engravings in Fen gxiang, fall into five categories.
These paintings and engravings are made with a traditional way, a primitive simplicity. Usually older models or subjects are reproduced, such as "good omen" and "wealth and prosperity" . paintings are all handmade, orange, green and red.
Huang chose to free the FDC with half the range of 1.2 yuan each. The left stamp shows a representation under the title "The General Yuchi Jingde" and that of the corner "The child and his makeshift" back on the 1st day stamp. The stamps illustrate
absent "Beauties" and "Fortune of the vase of flowers." The illustration of the last stamp is included in the illustration on the FDC.
other 2 same stamps everyday of 0.80 yuan are part of a series 4 stamps, issued on 1 April 2002, dedicated to protecting the planet and in this patch there, the preservation of aquatic resources. Here
