The Croisic - The Quays-18th century. Salt Marsh

In the department of Loire-Atlantique (Pays de la Loire) is a jewel in the form of a small town in barely 5,000 inhabitants
One of the prides of the city is the port Croisic composed of a succession of small ponds protected by chop blocks, "reed beds, high over the centuries by the pile of stones used as ballast batea ux to load the salt extracted from salt marshes Guérande (already mentioned in a previous article).
The port has the distinction of having the moorings and
basins (natural or not) who are the delight of fishermen and boaters whose rounded wedge unique in France which is in harmony with a small Jonchère. These blocks were used for marine to disembark and embark their goods or fishing equipment.
